And were off to the races

So I have started doing art again, I am welcoming back the muse. The virus has taken a toll on all of us, some more than others and instead of sinking into depression which is what I have a habit of doing I turned to my muses and ask them to help me. And joyfully they answered with all kinds of ideas flooding into my head.

I have done my first piece STRANGE MAGIC which was inspired by the song by ELO...and then that led to my Celtic seasons which I am working on at the moment. I have also started my blog on blogger where I feature my studies and tell about what inspires me. I am glad to be back and thank you for your kind words!Have a blessed day and remember you are never alone your muses are always there!

Back in the saddle again

So I know I have been away for what seems ages....after the loss of all my art supplies in Hurricane Ike then a series of losses I had to get myself together before facing the art board again. But as you can see I am back and have started a number of pieces for this year. I will be adding images as I work on them on my blog at yesterdayssideshow.blogspot.co…. So I invite you all over to check out what I am doing from time to time. Artist block is a hell of a ride and once you have broken through then it is like a waterfall with ideas springing forth. Thank you to everyone who stuck by me through the down time and I hope I can repay you all with some amazing art.

The Ramblings of a tired artist!

So my muse has returned to me after many years of being away. I finished my first full blown color work in over two years and it feel amazing! I also am back working on my blog (which you can check out at tatteredpixiearts.blogspot.com…) and now I am starting on my second piece. Have you ever had one of those nights where you stay up most the night talking to your friend and then cannot shut your brain off because so many ideas are floating around in it....feels kind of Euphoric actually! i want to Thank all of you who stood on this side of the vast wasteland called artist block it is nice to be back at the oasis again!

BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN

Okay so I just finished taking part in Apollocon for this year and it was my first trip back as an illustratior in over 4 years....and I sold my original Dragon piece...whew! So this has inspired me to do more shows this year and I will be taking part in Orycon in Portland Oregon November 7-9, Necronomicon in Florida on October 3-5, Icon in Cedar Rapids IA October 31-Nov 2, and Archon in collinsvill, Ill October 3-5. I hope to have my 4 latest works "Season Of The Dragons" completed and will send limited edition prints to these shows as well as some small originals. Also if you have a chance stop by my new blog site at tatteredpixiearts.blogspot.com… and see the roughs of these pieces. 
Thank you for your support through the years and I am sorry I was away for so long!
