So I know I have been away for what seems ages....after the loss of all my art supplies in Hurricane Ike then a series of losses I had to get myself together before facing the art board again. But as you can see I am back and have started a number of pieces for this year. I will be adding images as I work on them on my blog at yesterdayssideshow.blogspot.co…. So I invite you all over to check out what I am doing from time to time. Artist block is a hell of a ride and once you have broken through then it is like a waterfall with ideas springing forth. Thank you to everyone who stuck by me through the down time and I hope I can repay you all with some amazing art.
Have a blessed day

I am doing a collection of images based on birthstones and hope to release one each moth for the next year...also I hope to get back to the works inspired by classic poems and start a new series inspired by Operas so stay tumed they are coming. So here is the super skinny on the world according to Lee Anne, We obtained severe damage to our home from the lovley storm called IKE. And here it is a year later and we are just about done with the re-modle! I have started a new company with one of my best friends called Harlee-Quinnz Designs and I am (dont faint) designing scrapbook papers and clear stamps...woo-hoo! But fear not I am still doing art. Yes my personal site is no more because all of my art prints were destroyed in the storm, thus nothing to sell! Good news though I lost only 1 original in the wake of all this. I am trying to finish up some pieces I started a few years ago and I am inspired to do more so it may not be a huge collection each year but I will be turning out some things. I am also doing photo shop manipulation work which I will try to get put on here asap so you can see that work. But to all of you who keep checking on me I am good and getting back into the swing of things. If you want check out my products at www.harlee-quinnz.com

wow it is amazing how this year just kind of slipped past...almost like when you pick up a handful of sand and it all seems to slip away in a matter of minutes...that is the way of things I guess! Now is the downward spiral to the end of the year. Halloween, Christmas, New Years then another year to watch slip away.
Hi everyone!

seems I am lagging behind here in the journal area of my life...it always seems that the end of teh year slides to a close super quickly and time just seems to escape you. The next thing you know it is the new year and it all starts again. Anyway I hope all are having a wonderful and happy new year and that the muse is dancing around you inspiring you as she has me! Until next time kiddys have a grand slam kind of day!
I have always been fond of Autumn, there is something so charming about it...perhaps it is the fact that it is hailing in the winter months, or maybe it is just there is all kinds of changes in the air. I have to admit I enjoy the first cold crisp day that blows in when the leaves change and the wind blows. I also love halloween and all that it encompasses! so on this wonderful day after Halloween I want to wish all you my friends a very happy Samhain!

Lee Anne
Hi there all!

Well the good news is that I finally  accomplished something that I can be proud to show off, that being my long awaited website.....it was my first site to build and though it may not have all the bells and whistles that the superb sites have it is not half bad. As with so many things though this will forever be my work in progress for sure as I finish a page an even better idea comes along.
On Monday I am on my way to Sweden and London for two weeks...I see this as a rather grand adventure going into the land of unknown to discover it's little magic's. Though I have actually been to London a few years back I still will be going to new places that I had yet to visit. And who knows what will be around each corner...serendipity perhaps? I will let you know when I get back what fate had inshore for me, until then take care gamma babies!

hugs
Lee
With much change under my belt I am back maybe for the better maybe not it is too early to tell at this point...however the point is I am back and the art is better than ever. So I have added a few pieces for everyone to checkout just to show this is what comes from sleepless nights, lol! So the question of the moment is do we belive there is that one special person out there or are their multiple ones waiting around the bend? Can you be happy with one person or is it better to travle through life touching many people and letting them touch your life for that brief second they are there? This is also what comes when one cannot sleep at night, things run through my head, so I have decided to throw the questions out into the universe and see what answers come back. If I make you think that is a good thing if you find it annoying look away for it was your choice to read this journal entry, but what ever you do, do it because you want to not because someone said you should!

Until next time Good night children of the night!

Christmas greeting for all!

Hello and Greetings to everyone this wonderful December day!

As we near that magical day of the year when the entire world pauses for just a moment to reflect on peace and joy I have been thinking about all the wonders that await me in 2005 and all the wonders that happened in 2004.

As I see it life is like one of those brightly wrapped gifts one gets at this time of the year…magical and very unexpected, some good and some not really what you wanted at all, but all in all it is how one opens the gift to reveal what is inside that matters most. I hope all of you will take a moment from rushing around buying those last minute presents, sending out your billionth Christmas Card, and stealing just one more cookie from the cookie jar to reflect on all the good that 2004 has brought you and then look forward to all the magic 2005 will offer.

Now is the time to take a moment and hold those that are near and dear very close to you, or take the time to call someone out of the blue and tell them if nothing more than you were just thinking of them, surprise someone with a token of peace and friendship and relish in the knowledge that you are alive and that living life to it's fullest!

Life is far to short and we should never forget what the true meaning of Christmas is, gifts were never meant to be materialistic rather that of love and friendship that would enrich our lives every day we live.

Friendship is a precious gift not given lightly and to be guarded and protected like the most priceless jewel. This holiday season I hope everyone takes a moment and looks at all the treasures that make up and fill their lives and I think you will be pleasantly surprised to realize just how wealthy you really are!

Have the most joyful and magical Christmas and New Year you can!

Lee

I am so knackered!

Thu Nov 18, 2004, 3:01 PM
now to enter the dark place to do vampire art!

Lead to the river
Midsummer, I waved
A 'V' of black swans
On with hope to the grave
All through Red September
With skies fire-paved
I begged you appear
Like a thorn for the holy ones

Cold was my soul
Untold was the pain
I faced when you left me
A rose in the rain
So I swore to the razor
That never, enchained
Would your dark nails of faith
Be pushed through my veins again

Bared on your tomb
I am a prayer for your loneliness
And would you ever soon
Come above unto me?
For once upon a time
From the binds of your lowliness
I could always find
The right slot for your sacred key

Six feet deep is the incision
In my heart, that barless prison
Discolours all with tunnel vision
Sunsetter
Nymphetamine
Sick and weak from my condition
This lust, a vampyric addiction
To her alone in full submission
None better
Nymphetamine

Nymphetamine, nymphetamine
Nymphetamine girl
Nymphetamine, nymphetamine
My nymphetamine girl

Wracked with your charm
I am circled like prey
Back in the forest
Where whispers persuade
More sugar trails
More white lady laid
Than pillars of salt
(Keeping Sodom at night at bay)

Fold to my arms
Hold their mesmeric sway
And dance to the moon
As we did in those golden days

Christening stars
I remember the way
We were needle and spoon
Mislaid in the burning hay

Bared on your tomb
I am a prayer for your loneliness
And would you ever soon
Come above unto me?
For once upon a time
From the binds of your lowliness
I could always find
The right slot for your sacred key

Six feet deep is the incision
In my heart, that barless prison
Discolours all with tunnel vision
Sunsetter
Nymphetamine
Sick and weak from my condition
This lust, a vampyric addiction
To her alone in full submission
None better
Nymphetamine

Sunsetter
Nymphetamine
None better
Nymphetamine

Nymphetamine, nymphetamine
Nymphetamine girl
Nymphetamine, nymphetamine
My nymphetamine girl

todays A good Day!

One of my favorites by Poe

Oh! that my young life were a lasting dream!
My spirit not awakening, till the beam
Of an Eternity should bring the morrow.
Yes! tho' that long dream were of hopeless sorrow,
'Twere better than the cold reality
Of waking life, to him whose heart must be,
And hath been still, upon the lovely earth,
A chaos of deep passion, from his birth.
But should it be- that dream eternally
Continuing- as dreams have been to me
In my young boyhood- should it thus be given,
'Twere folly still to hope for higher Heaven.
For I have revell'd, when the sun was bright
I' the summer sky, in dreams of living light
And loveliness,- have left my very heart
In climes of my imagining, apart
From mine own home, with beings that have been
Of mine own thought- what more could I have seen?
'Twas once- and only once- and the wild hour
From my remembrance shall not pass- some power
Or spell had bound me- 'twas the chilly wind
Came o'er me in the night, and left behind
Its image on my spirit- or the moon
Shone on my slumbers in her lofty noon
Too coldly- or the stars- howe'er it was
That dream was as that night-wind- let it pass.

I have been happy, tho' in a dream.
I have been happy- and I love the theme:
Dreams! in their vivid coloring of life,
As in that fleeting, shadowy, misty strife
Of semblance with reality, which brings
To the delirious eye, more lovely things
Of Paradise and Love- and all our own!
Than young Hope in his sunniest hour hath known.

And Today feels like.......

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.

A Robin Red breast in a Cage
Puts all Heaven in a Rage.
A dove house fill'd with doves & Pigeons
Shudders Hell thro' all its regions.
A dog starv'd at his Master's Gate
Predicts the ruin of the State.
A Horse misus'd upon the Road
Calls to Heaven for Human blood.
Each outcry of the hunted Hare
A fibre from the Brain does tear.
A Skylark wounded in the wing,
A Cherubim does cease to sing.
The Game Cock clipp'd and arm'd for fight
Does the Rising Sun affright.
Every Wolf's & Lion's howl
Raises from Hell a Human Soul.
The wild deer, wand'ring here & there,
Keeps the Human Soul from Care.
The Lamb misus'd breeds public strife
And yet forgives the Butcher's Knife.
The Bat that flits at close of Eve
Has left the Brain that won't believe.
The Owl that calls upon the Night
Speaks the Unbeliever's fright.
He who shall hurt the little Wren
Shall never be belov'd by Men.
He who the Ox to wrath has mov'd
Shall never be by Woman lov'd.
The wanton Boy that kills the Fly
Shall feel the Spider's enmity.
He who torments the Chafer's sprite
Weaves a Bower in endless Night.
The Catterpillar on the Leaf
Repeats to thee thy Mother's grief.
Kill not the Moth nor Butterfly,
For the Last Judgement draweth nigh.
He who shall train the Horse to War
Shall never pass the Polar Bar.
The Beggar's Dog & Widow's Cat,
Feed them & thou wilt grow fat.
The Gnat that sings his Summer's song
Poison gets from Slander's tongue.
The poison of the Snake & Newt
Is the sweat of Envy's Foot.
The poison of the Honey Bee
Is the Artist's Jealousy.
The Prince's Robes & Beggars' Rags
Are Toadstools on the Miser's Bags.
A truth that's told with bad intent
Beats all the Lies you can invent.
It is right it should be so;
Man was made for Joy & Woe;
And when this we rightly know
Thro' the World we safely go.
Joy & Woe are woven fine,
A Clothing for the Soul divine;
Under every grief & pine
Runs a joy with silken twine.
The Babe is more than swadling Bands;
Throughout all these Human Lands
Tools were made, & born were hands,
Every Farmer Understands.
Every Tear from Every Eye
Becomes a Babe in Eternity.
This is caught by Females bright
And return'd to its own delight.
The Bleat, the Bark, Bellow & Roar
Are Waves that Beat on Heaven's Shore.
The Babe that weeps the Rod beneath
Writes Revenge in realms of death.
The Beggar's Rags, fluttering in Air,
Does to Rags the Heavens tear.
The Soldier arm'd with Sword & Gun,
Palsied strikes the Summer's Sun.
The poor Man's Farthing is worth more
Than all the Gold on Afric's Shore.
One Mite wrung from the Labrer's hands
Shall buy & sell the Miser's lands:
Or, if protected from on high,
Does that whole Nation sell & buy.
He who mocks the Infant's Faith
Shall be mock'd in Age & Death.
He who shall teach the Child to Doubt
The rotting Grave shall ne'er get out.
He who respects the Infant's faith
Triumph's over Hell & Death.
The Child's Toys & the Old Man's Reasons
Are the Fruits of the Two seasons.
The Questioner, who sits so sly,
Shall never know how to Reply.
He who replies to words of Doubt
Doth put the Light of Knowledge out.
The Strongest Poison ever known
Came from Caesar's Laurel Crown.
Nought can deform the Human Race
Like the Armour's iron brace.
When Gold & Gems adorn the Plow
To peaceful Arts shall Envy Bow.
A Riddle or the Cricket's Cry
Is to Doubt a fit Reply.
The Emmet's Inch & Eagle's Mile
Make Lame Philosophy to smile.
He who Doubts from what he sees
Will ne'er believe, do what you Please.
If the Sun & Moon should doubt
They'd immediately Go out.
To be in a Passion you Good may do,
But no Good if a Passion is in you.
The Whore & Gambler, by the State
Licenc'd, build that Nation's Fate.
The Harlot's cry from Street to Street
Shall weave Old England's winding Sheet.
The Winner's Shout, the Loser's Curse,
Dance before dead England's Hearse.
Every Night & every Morn
Some to Misery are Born.
Every Morn & every Night
Some are Born to sweet Delight.
Some ar Born to sweet Delight,
Some are born to Endless Night.
We are led to Believe a Lie
When we see not Thro' the Eye
Which was Born in a Night to Perish in a Night
When the Soul Slept in Beams of Light.
God Appears & God is Light
To those poor Souls who dwell in the Night,
But does a Human Form Display
To those who Dwell in Realms of day.

Auguries of Innocence
by William Blake

I like to share things of beauty that inspire and make the mind race with imagination, this is why I love poetry so much!
